With just one call to the GlobalLink desk, you can book your shipment without making additional arrangements to plan the entire shipment routing. A GlobalLink Desk agent will even call and inform you when your shipment is confirmed on board the final segment.

Tendering
You must tender all shipments at a Continental Airlines Cargo facility at least four hours before departure. Continental’s air waybill requires the following information:

  • Complete routing with flight numbers and flight dates as provided by the GlobalLink Desk agent
  • GlobalLink rate or TACT rate. “As agreed” is not acceptable on the air waybill.
  • IATA number or Continental account number
  • “GlobalLink typed in the Accounting Information section of the air waybill

If you do not enter the above information correctly on the air waybill, the shipment will be billed at TACT rates from origin to destination.

Rates

  • You must prepay all shipments.
  • All rates are in U.S. dollars per kilogram.
  • Rates do not apply to Continental Express cities.
  • Minimum chargeable weights apply and vary depending on destination.
  • GlobalLink rates are not valid on shipments of dangerous goods, human remains, live animals, perishables and high value items. Movement of such items is subject to published tariff rules and TACT rates.
  • Coverage, whether it is insurance or declared value for carriage, is not available on GlobalLink shipments.
  • Warsaw Convention limits apply to all shipments.
